Caroline Morrison

Fiction Kitchen

Chef Caroline Morrison is a North Carolina native who discovered her passion for cooking partly out of frustration from being vegetarian in the South. She knew there was an abundance of produce within the region, but dining options seemed lackluster, cursory, and often made from canned or frozen products. This propelled her to change careers, earn her culinary degree from Wake Technical Community College and begin experimenting with sold out pop-up events in the Triangle area hosted with partner/co-owner, Siobhan Southern. Together, they opened the Fiction Kitchen in January 2013. Chef Caroline was named a 2019 James Beard Women’s Entrepreneurial Fellow and works closely with other locally and nationally recognized Chef/owner/operators to constantly challenge and change our industry for the better.
