Skipstone is a 200-acre private estate located on the western hillsides of the Mayacamas Range in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley. This 27-acre vineyard features terrains varying from steep terraces on our hillsides to rolling benchland parcels. We have been certified organic and sustainable for many years and began incorporating biodynamic farming practices in 2018. Skipstone began crafting wines from our estate in the 2005 vintage, and our winemaking was led by renowned winemaker, Philippe Melka, from 2006-2021. Since 2022 Skipstone Winemaker, Laura Jones, oversees the Skipstone vineyards and winemaking. Our philosophy is guided by the principle that uncompromising standards of sustainability and treatment of the land allow the terroir of our vineyards to shine through as our wines speak eloquently of their origins.
